In May 2018 the Grande Rockies Resort reinvigorated their dining venue with The Grande Kitchen + Bar. They have brought in Waymarker Executive Chef, Air Bouphasiry, known for his Infusion restaurant in Bragg Creek and in Calgary, to bring in a new and inspired menu. Bouphasiry’s training in classical Italian and French cooking is influenced by his upbringing in Laos and the menu reflects his interests with a fusion of traditional western dishes accented with eastern flare. Chef Air has spent thirty five years in the hospitality industry starting when he was 19 years old. Since then he has gotten his wife and kids into the business of running restaurants. The Grande is another family venture with Air and Nok, his wife, working in the kitchen and his daughter Cristina managing the service end of the restaurant.

Atmosphere

Right off the main lobby, the Grande Kitchen + Bar is a very modern space with stylish Edison Bulb light fixtures, comfy wrap around booths and glass display cases for wines. The kitchen is right near the entrance and is open to view, allowing you a chance to see the chefs in action. The serving staff are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is available for group bookings and a kids menu is also available. For larger groups the hotel is equipped with banquet and conference facilities. The catering for the hotel is also done by The Grande Kitchen + Bar.

Breakfast

  • Breakfast Bowls: two poached eggs, wedged potatoes, Montreal cheese curds, brown butter hollandaise sauce with choice of root beer pulled pork or wild boar meatball
  • Eggs Benny: Traditional Back Bacon; Florentine: mushroom, tomato, spinach, truffle; Thick Cut Bacon; Smoked Salmon; comes with signature chips, fresh fruit and brown butter hollandaise sauce
  • Bacon + Mushroom Crepe: scrambled eggs, bell pepper, onion, cheddar cheese, brown butter hollandaise
  • Smoked Salmon or Roasted Beet Pesto and Kale Omelette; Traditional Breakfast; Monte Cristo; Chocolate Lava Pancake; Drunken French Toast; French Crepe

Lunch and Dinner

  • Appetizers: Chef’s Signature Mussels; Beer Battered Onion Rings; Thai Stuffed Chicken Wings: pork, rice vermicelli, carrot, mushroom, sweet chili peanut dip
  • Salads: Chef’s Signature Smoked Caesar; Wheatberry Quinoa: chicken skewers, white quinoa, spring onion, avocado, beet, cucumber, bell pepper, garbanzo beans, lemon vinaigrette
  • Bacon Bacon Bacon Burger: bacon stuffed beef patty, bacon slices, cheddar cheese, bacon maple bourbon jam
  • Chicken Alfredo Burger: chicken breast, tomato, onion, greens, parmesan cheese, Alfredo sauce
  • Hen + Gnocchi: buttermilk gnocchi, roasted sweet corn, kale, bourbon cream
  • Chef’s Signature Seafood Pescatore: muscles, prawn, scallop, olives, capers, chili, white wine, tomato
  • 8 oz New York Striploin: truffle peppercorn, brandy cream sauce, wedged potatoes, butter vegetables

Desserts and Beverages

  • Signature Cocktails: The June Gloom: El Jimador tequila, Grand Marnier, activated charcoal, orange bitters, lime, lemon, cane syrup; Lavender Lemonade Martini

Wednesday: Half Price Bottles of Wine.

Thursday: Pasta Thursday - Features a special pasta night menu for $12.95.

Friday to Saturday 8 am - 2 pm and 5 - 10 pm
Sunday 8 am - 2 pm and 5 - 9 pm

Breakfast is served from 8 - 11:30 am Tuesday to Sunday
