Chez Francois

Dinner at Chez François is ‘casually elegant’ without the pretentious attitude or price you might expect of a good French restaurant. Local organic produce and meats, and fresh fish, are incorporated to create innovative cuisine with flair—classic dishes are also offered so regulars can enjoy their favourites. Owner and accomplished chef Jean-François adds personality to dishes with his sense for spices. Generous breakfasts and lunches are popular with locals—as is the large selection of homemade desserts. The fixed price menu provides a satisfying and easy option for dinner, with optional wine pairing.

Open 7 am to 2 pm for breakfast; lunch 11:30 am to 2 pm; dinner 5 pm to 10 pm. Mains are $18 to $40; lunch $10 to $15; breakfast $8 to $13. Wines are $29 to $280 (100+ choices); $7 to $9.50 a glass.
